Uniting Our Strengths for Peace:
A High-Level Dialogue on United Nations Peacekeeping Operations
A ministerial dinner co-organized by the governments of Finland, Indonesia, Rwanda, and Uruguay, and the International Peace Institute
This year marks both the seventieth anniversary of the United Nations and the recent completion of the most comprehensive assessment of UN peacekeeping operations since the Brahimi Report (issued in 2000). To share perspectives and insights on the report of the High-Level Independent Panel on UN Peace Operations (chaired by H.E. Mr. Jose Ramos-Horta) and the UN Secretary-General’s follow-up implementation report, the foreign ministers of Finland, Indonesia, Rwanda, and Uruguay, together with the International Peace Institute, hosted a closed, ministerial-level dinner on Tuesday, September 29th, on the sidelines of the annual General Assembly debate.
